We had a delightful trip to Istanbul, visiting Barry, Meltem and Ozan in their new home. Here is a non-chronological assortment of pictures. A highlight was visiting Ellen Jewett and Husam by taking a water taxi over the Bosphorus and enjoying refreshments in their book-filled Yali (old wooden house on the Bosphorus) with the water lapping on the front of the house.
Ozan's a dancer!

We visited the Sabanci Museum for a calligraphy exhibit. Gorgeous grounds.
New sun hat and Nike's.
Their apartment has the flower box. 3rd Floor.
Nap time.
The ferry back from Asian side and visit to Ellen Jewett and Husam.
Out to dinner at Mangerie! Ozan loved it.
Breakfast at Bebek Hotel.
Stroll along the Bosphorus on Sunday morning. Many large ships come back and forth from the Black Sea.
Two snoozers
Grandma Sadan and the guitarist.
Swinging at the park.
Dancing!
"Anne" (Mom in Turkish)

Water taxi. Ozan's first boat ride.
Already painting!
Meltem's flower boxes. She also has planters outside in the apartment gardens, where they play with Ozan each day.
