Fall in Mt Gretna

Do you have a sign like this in your neighborhood? This is a new one, posted on the way to "town" (Lebanon). We enjoy the scenic drives to the airport, town, and mostly the lack of traffic. Occasionally we slow down to pass an Amish buggy, or horses walking along the road.

The lake is beautiful at this time of year.

Many farm stands are up through halloween.

There's dried flower farm on the way to Elizabethtown.

Llama and alpaca farms are more common now...
as are goats.
After 4 days of rain, the sky brightened up. Tempuratures are dropping.

Dave is on top of fall leaf pickup. This will go on through Thanksgiving.
The red leaf-vacuum shows up every few days. The same family has run this truck in our township for generations.

Garden Sculpture

On Sunday we went to an "Artful Dining" event in Lancaster, benefitting the Lancaster Museum of Art. Dan Whitmer was the featured sculptor, who exhibited several pieces in the lovely garden. This one caught Dave's eye and, low and behold, it was delivered to our home yesterday by the artist himself, who helped select a place for it.
